Every photographer needs a guard owl.
That's great :)
"We" (mostly Mrs. H's idea, which "we" implemented together) chose to crystallize a scenario similar to this for our little town's "Pumpkin Person" Hallowe'en displays a few years back (as you may recall).

This was "Robin" (we decided to give them a deliberately adrogynous name).

... and here's Robin with our artistic muse for the project.

I bet you've never seen one of these:

Well neither have I. Guess what it does.
It's a sensor that measures magnetite concentration in and flow rate of a watery solution used in iron ore mining
Cut it open to help a colleague who is tasked with reverse engineering and designing a new one of these since the original manufacturer hasn't made these for decades and the know-how has been lost.

You tricked us: Deceptive photo.
At first examination, it looked to be some sort of belt/pulley gearing box, of sorts.
Then, I searched the nameplate "KROHNE" and rolled my eyes!
What you are saying is that its just your common boat-anchor now!

Shopping Mall in "Lille", up north France, by the Chanel Sea. It was built 100 years ago at least...
I'm living in the south by the Mediterranean Sea...

You live with your iPhone 6s? Hmm. I live with my wife.
You made me snort, reading your reply! [There should be a 'snort' button here.]
I live neither with an 'iPhone' or a 'wife': << Which one would be the preferred path to long-life and/or a happy one?
