This is our "long view", such as it is, towards Croydon Mountain.

Four, count 'em, four northern orioles ("Baltimore orioles") on/around one of our two oriole feeders. The other one had two more on it at the same time.

EDIT: Here's the other two, at/near the other feeder. The other two birds visible in this grab shot (thus the window frame reflection ) are (American) goldfinches.

OK... don't y'all start with me, for I am a biologist. Diplomas and everything to prove it...
so, yeah, this isn't, technically, a bird.
Still, I was actually rather pleased to see it hanging out (literally) on our porch screen* this evening as the darkness deepened.





Shortly afterwards, it went off to work.
