Four, count 'em, four northern orioles ("Baltimore orioles") on/around one of our two oriole feeders. The other one had two more on it at the same time.

EDIT: Here's the other two, at/near the other feeder. The other two birds visible in this grab shot (thus the window frame reflection ) are (American) goldfinches.

:)

OK... don't y'all start with me, for I am a biologist. Diplomas and everything to prove it...
so, yeah, this isn't, technically, a bird.
Still, I was actually rather pleased to see it hanging out (literally) on our porch screen* this evening as the darkness deepened.

Shortly afterwards, it went off to work.

* Incrementally more pleased, I must admit, after I ascertained definitively that it was on the outside of the screen. ;)

Ebay find: Pentax K100D. Added a f/1.7 50mm lense, focused as close as it'd go.

After 2.5 cm of rain the past day or so, the yard's lookin' pretty nice. It won't last, but I love this time of year. :)

... out by the septic system's leach field. :)

In our garden this morning; hydrangea flowers just start blooming. (Typos corrected...)
Please PM me, if you would like to see the original Hi-Res photos.
