Not in the same league as @CapMan's marvelous images, but we had a somewhat dramatic sky last evening -- "evening" being kind of a differential quantity here, as is it in the UK, at this time of year.


(just a piccie through the dining room window -- I am a lazy photographer, too... and it was chilly)

Which weighs more: 15pounds of NorthEastern' chilly snow or 15pounds of SoCal misty sand?

a pint's pound's a pound, the world around. Feathers, lead, you name it -- although it can get a little complicated, measurement-wise, with something like helium... or, of course, in an accelerated frame of reference. I avoid the latter at all costs.

I guess we could talk slugs rather than pounds to make things a little clearer vis-a-vis the whole weight (force) thing vs. mass.

I encoutered this leopard mom with its cub at a roadside, which she crossed, leaving the cub behind.
Some cars blocked the view to her cub and she got a bit angry ...
