Post pictures of anything, with comment...couple words.

In a "...couple words": I try to avoid running out of lemons.

ahem, with much chagrin  I must amend my earlier post today. During a discussion with my wife about our peregrinations yesterday, I realized that the photo I captioned "Second Connecticut Lake" was in fact taken at the dam of another, nearby lake called Scotts Bog. Scotts Bog is north of Second Connecticut Lake, ca. 1 mile from the national border. :) My apologies!

Today, in our garden...

Azalea (Rhododendron) is written in Japanese as "躑躅" (pronunciation "Tsu-tsu-ji", in very complicated two Chinese characters; I can read it but difficult to hand-write correctly from memory!) which comes from the saying that "it is so beautiful that people stop in their tracks when they see it." Both "躑" and "躅" mean to stop or stand still.

Another Azalea tree in our garden having white and scarlet flowers.

Date was 2020/April (but not April's fool day):
I thought I had time traveled to an alternate universe or down to Louisiana... or perhaps Kansas!
Four years later, the price is now holding at >2X.

Manchester. Wrapped town hall.

Cabin season is kicking off, and Lyra is enjoying herself.

That wood stove looks to be about a meter or so from the speaker. No concerns about heat damage to the cabinet?

Been done quite a few posts back in thread ;)

I like to think our septic system's leach field has one of the nicest views of any such leach field -- although I don't have all of the data, of course. ;)
At any rate, days like today (01Jun2025) manifest what we call Chamber of Commerce weather here in Northern New England. We put up with a lot in the cold, dark months to get days like this.

What happened to those outdoor Polks you had in your backyard?o_O

Oh, another seasonal (you'll see what I did there) item.

Yesterday, we schlepped down to Concord, NH to watch our granddaughter's soccer game.
When we got to the fields, I* espied this interesting Jeep parked in the lot. Made me feel kind of nostalgic.

This weekend I saw the new Renault R5 EV for the first time ‚out in the wild‘. Nice job, Renault (apart from the annoying green), relaunching this icon as an electric version and certainly maintaining the former design! (Sorry for the bad shots, we are certainly not brillant Paparazzi)
