-- at the moment that the photo was snapped, I was ripping one of our myriad home-made tape compilations of Christmas music (very broadly defined, I might add -- from the sublime to the ridiculous) dubbed over the course of nearly two decades from LPs and - yes - storebought cassettes (oh, sorry, that's a topic of another current ASR thread!*). The program material at the beginning of the tape I was ripping (note the real-time clock/counter on the VCR) is a hammer dulcimer collection called
An Old-Time Christmas or something like that.
