Aurora borealis from my back yard last night. The sun has been quite active.

I like the chair and the wall sconce. Does the headrest impact sound reflections?
It's the first armchair I have with a headrest, in a room different from my usual one, so I don't have any particular terms of reference. But I think that the furniture that is still in the room that I have to dismantle and take away "disturbs" more. However, I can tell you that subjectively, I was very careful, before the electronics rack that I brought, I had a chest of drawers; with the devices resting on it; that was very disturbing, especially in the bass region.... Once that was removed, a background rumble that I didn't find pleasant at all went away. The room is small so everything certainly has more influence than the large listening room I'm used to.

for the new listening room (former guest room, let them go to a hotel!!;))….

I concentrated on every possible detail; but above all….. on the listening chair!!!
I like the chair also. Suggestion: If the shelves are movable, put the equipment rack in the niche for a more spacious look. Food for thought. :)

you know I have to try!! good idea, thanks!

even though I would like to turn the setup, the opposite side, which now hosts a bed, has a completely free wall and no niches, shelves. I prefer it as always, it would be better in fact to have nothing behind the speakers. I would like to try to put the system on one side and leave the speakers alone in that space, to be able to play more freely with my damping/reflective cylinders.

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS should be near its best for viewing, positioned right between Venus, low in the southwest, and the star Arcturus, one quarter of the way up at 6:45 PM as the comet emerges from the twilight. Through 7:15 the comet edges lower, while the sky darkens for a potentially exciting view. The comet is racing away from the Earth at 180 thousand miles an hour, getting higher and fainter each night.

promising...

bingo!

Comet's dimmer now but also higher in the sky. Moon's also rising a little later, and the sky was completely cloudless tonight.
Tried some wide(r) angle lenses to try to get some context. Unfortunately, the moon was already above the horizon (although not above the hill and trees to our east), so the sky was none too dark.
