No particular reason for my photo of a Zenit camera except that I did a batch of photos for upcoming eBay auctions and just did a few extras for my own amusement. Color is a off because I got lazy and forgot to turn off an overhead light which is not studio-quality.

Somebody say Zenit?

DSC_1532 by Mark Hardy, on Flickr

:)
What's the first couple of digits of the camera body serial #, and what's the model designation on the lower right-hand corner? It looks like a reskinned Zenit AM2 but I've never seen that variant before but it looks like something made in the 1990s or early aughties.

2P3 AM radio built from modern Tecsun kit
_4210249.jpg

_4210256.jpg

It seems that in the mid-1960s People's Republic of China, the original 2P3 was quite the thing to have, but was actually not sold as a kit or finished product, but as an empty housing! Have seen photos of vintage originals on www.crystalradio.cn, and sure enough, the innards look to be unique to the builder. But among other advantages of Tecsun's kit is the use of modern audio amplifier IC rather than crappy transformer-coupled amplifier, so good clarity and not as much distortion as typical vintage transistor radio. And I'm sure that the substantial ferrite rod antenna doesn't hurt the performance either.

Pentax K mount.

It is part of my son's collection (one of three bodies and a couple of lenses kindly gifted by a hifi colleague of mine from another forum).

Included with the cameras was a 16 mm f/2.8 fisheye, which was a gateway drug for the boy :)

that drone is specifically designed to ''start' and fight forest fires by igniting backburns, safely and w/o danger to humans who would otherwise have to use drip torches

The trees along our road are chockablock with holes in them -- mostly pecked by woodpeckers, sapsuckers, and whatnot. The locals take great pride in decorating the lower holes with various objects d'art. These are typically little plastic figurines, Buddahs, that sort of thing.
Recently, a new object d'art has appeared. I suspect this was placed by the owners of the property, who are planning to build a house on it. They must've heard about the spotty cell service around here.
