The port by the Mediterranean Sea, where I live... South West of France
iPhone 6s
Hi, I notice your photos often have the same sort of colour look, I'd say very oversaturated, have you got a calibrated computer monitor, or you're just adding your own artistic flare to the pics? I'm not being critical, but curious.

I'm just adding my own artistic flare to the pics... I use a MacBook Air, I can modify the colors... my choice.
Most of the villages in France are VERY old.
I live in a village called Canet at 2 km from the Mediterranean Sea. It was built during the eleven century. The church is 800 years old and my house was built 120 years ago at least.
All my pictures are made with an iPhone 6s.

Are there any villages in France that are not "very old"? :)
The beautiful villages in France are very old... like "SAORGE"... Do you see the church on the left...?
I"m not interested by the new villages IF there are new ones. I'm 72 year old, I've never seen a new village. Our ancestors have kept the old villagest in good chape.

The finish to my bike ride today ;)

They are among us:

No. Seriously. Saw this thing early this morning. It was quite torpid in the morning chill (54 degrees Fahrenheit when we got up today). Initially, we couldn't see any legs, although it looks like it has four(?!?). Otherwise, it looked Beatle-esque beetle-esque. ;) It is about 8 mm long.

As the morning warmed, it got more mobile, and its tiny yellowish legs became more obvious as it moved.

What the heck is it?
Any of all y'all know?

Alternatively, I'm looking for a good on-line photo ID for bugs/insects/small critters with exoskeletons -- and ideally not a phone app, since I didn't take the photos with my phone.

Ganvié is a village on "stilts" in French: "pilotis" - located in Republic of Bénin, Africa... I've been there 3 or 4 times when I was living
in Lomé Capital of Togo. I was 8 years old... but I remember when I was going there with my father and mom. How could I forget ?
In Bénin the language is French like many countries in Africa...
Even Madagascar, the second largest island in the world, speaks French...
