Lots of purposeful pickup photos on Flickr, for those who like such things :)

Herewith, a few examples from a photographer on Flickr whose images I enjoy and whom I 'follow'.

... and a "rustomod" sort of akin to the Ford in the post I quoted, albeit somewhat more modern. ;)

I went to an antique EV car show.

All they had were cars like this.

Not one Tesla Roadster in the bunch!
I requested a refund. Did not get one.:mad:

Making some progress on my model ship.

It started off as a kit (HMS Royal William) but I have replaced half the kit parts with scratch-built parts. The only original parts of the kit that remain are the skeleton structure, the inner limewood planking, some pre-cut wooden parts (like the rear fascia and rudder), and the cast metal decorations on the side and front of the ship. All the planking is pearwood and holly, and all the windows are scratch-built.

This is ‘Babs’ a land speed record breaker from 1926 taken at Brooklands race track -her Record was 171mph under the power of a 27 litre V12 aero engine !

Babs crashed on Pendine Sands in Wales in 1927 during a record attempt - her driver was decpitated by the chain drive :(

A man to do the work
A man to hold he ladder
A man to supervise both of the above

Photo taken yesterday at a work do…

One of our many Brexit benefits I’m sure :(

You say that, I see two guys with zero PPE, doing electrical work using an unrated aluminum (aluminium for you chaps) ladder instead of rated fiberglass with up to date inspection tag. At least for this shot the guy has three points of contact. Hopefully the dude on the left is telling them if they need to get further up, they need to get a proper platformed ladder or a powered lift and harness, probably with a tarp and diaper to protect the nice floor. And Lord knows how they expect to lift that sign above shoulder height. Do they even have a barricade on the other side of the door? I have an extremely hard time believing a job hazard analysis was completed beforehand.

A pic off the tv. Was a wee lad when this show first came out. Even then, I was struck by her beauty.
