Starts out like this:

Then, one night - and one night only - it starts opening up at dusk and by 0300Hours, it shrivels and closes up.
The scent (when in full bloom) is perfume-ish citrus but sweet (not pungent at all).
Night-Blooming Cereus (for 20 years, we wrongly knew it as "Queen of the Night") is pollinated by moths.
One of the most intricate flowers I know of, yet the tree - that it becomes - is as fugly as they get.

I have been tinkering with an Ai based video enhancing software (Topaz Video Enhance Ai) recently.
Below are snapshots from an enhanced and upscaled version of " Dr. Strangelove".
The movie is in black and white, and the best released version is noisy and soft.
Just for fun, I also colourized some of those snapshots.

James Earl Jones' movie debut, I believe.

The imagery of Dr. Strangelove, as filmed, was and is iconic.
One of my favorite-est movies of all-est.

Out here in SoCal, 'global warming' has been falling on deaf ears and 'climate change' is giving us 78F weather, in the height of this summer.
Kids are already back to school and soon all the inlanders will be returning to their regularly scheduled programming.

Come mid-September, the locals will have already reclaimed Odessa our own "Pearl" of a beach.
