Post pictures of anything, with comment...couple words.

These streams are normally fairly placid (especially in July) :)
Conditions are considerably more dire just across the river in Vermont, and on the far side of Vermont, in northeastern New York state.

Photo from this afternoon on Route 12 in Middlesex, VT, en route to the state's capital city (Montpelier).

... and looking at the Ottaqueechee River, towards Simon Pearce Restaurant, in Queechee, VT.

I think you posted that you were a 1000' elevation in the Himalayas of Vermount. So I hope you are staying dry or have a boat. Good luck to all over there.

We're across the river, in the New Hampsha foothills :)
We do have a couple of kayaks, but so far, so good, here. The little stream at the bottom of our property is roaring, but it's also a long way down from the house. ;)

I didn't take any photos of it, because it was raining too hard when I came back up the hill from my jaunt to the post office from whence come my own photos today.

I've had some nice meals at that place. Hope it survives. Glad to see that loss of life has been on the low side up there.
Reports as of today suggest that the only significant damage they had was from debris in their loading area; the glassblowing shop and restaurant are OK (as of this afternoon).
Yes, it's very good -- and their glassware is uniformly gorgeous.

In Quechee, I think that Irene was worse than this weekend's storm (although certainly not in Montpelier). As an aside, the builder who built our current house had his office/shop a couple of doors down from Simon Pearce. He was in a walk-out basement space on the river/parking lot side that flooded during Irene -- up to the ceiling. He lost pretty much everything that was in there.

Montpellier is also a French town in the South of France that was built between the years 985-1141.
and I've been to Montpellier USA and was surprised because some people there were able to speak French... in Louisiana many people are able to speak French...
"Dell Computers France" is located in Montpellier.

Annecy, is one of the 10 towns that I like... the most in France...

We have a couple of plants in our sun room that we rescued from my Mom's place after she passed away. They're called Queen of the Night, and they put out flowers about every 4 -6 months that open up at night and then close and die the next day. They have a really nice but strange fragrance.

I know they are aliens. First they came in ones and twos to reconnoiter, but then 7 came, and I know now they've come to colonize. Sometimes my brain hurts.

In this video you will see the beauty of Provensal French village, Moustiers located in the heart of Provence, "National Park Verdon", France.
The small town of Moustiers was founded in the fifth century by a colony of monks.
