Those are our around the corner neighbors' fairly recently mowed hay fields for a small dairy herd. The family mostly got out of the dairy business about 8 years ago, but the patriarch still has a few cows. They used our back field for hay as well until a few years ago.
We just had our back field cut for the season on Wednesday, as it happens.
