That is to say?and there's no sample rate conversion
Quite right - my bad. I'll update my decoder summary.I have my Blustream SW42DA sample rate running at 96k with the rest of my devices on my Dante network. Not sure whether this is the same thing as what you've listed as 48 above?
Well spotted. It's good to have choice. It sounds like this is equivalent to the Blustream but without the multiple inputs. Limited to 7.1.2 output. It's about $2,000 :Looks like another product is about to hit the scene - Turtle AV Downtown. Only seems to have a single HDMI input though unlike the Blustream which has 4.
No sample rate conversion means with Dante output, the network audio sample rate must be manually set to whatever the input audio rate is.That is to say?
That's interesting, does it mean Dante renderers are not aware of the RTP samplerate? Copilot says that the samplerate is communicated to the renderers via SDP in AES67 and Ravenna, as well as in the Dante proprietary control protocol. No sample rate conversion means with Dante output, the network audio sample rate must be manually set to whatever the input audio rate is.
8k/60Hz passthrough with audio splitter - that looks like some heavy lifting....Looks like another product is about to hit the scene - Turtle AV Downtown. Only seems to have a single HDMI input though unlike the Blustream which has 4.
Yes the results are impressive for such a small box. It is running very warm mind, over 65 celcius8k/60Hz passthrough with audio splitter - that looks like some heavy lifting....
What about the version with AES/EBU output? No sample rate conversion means with Dante output, the network audio sample rate must be manually set to whatever the input audio rate is.
I’m not entirely sure what goes on in the background but if you want all your devices to see each other on the Dante network then they all need to be configured with the same sample rate via the Dante controller software. Some devices only go as high as 48, others can do 96, 192 etc. The entire audio signal chain therefore will be limited by the weakest device. That's interesting, does it mean Dante renderers are not aware of the RTP samplerate? No problems thereWhat about the version with AES/EBU output?
I don't suppose anyone is member of Apple Beta and therefore access to tvOS 26 beta 3 to see if they've added the passthrough we're after? I'm monitoring threads on other forums to see if it's available as we're expecting. No word on bump up to 24/192 but passthrough audio coming https://appleinsider.com/articles/2...y-on-the-way-to-apple-tv-iphone-and-more/amp/

HX16 series (with Dirac built-in and all the top end features) is planned for November/December. I will share preliminary spec in August. HX16 probably going to cost around $3K.
Preliminary spec for HX-16:
Support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.3, HDMI eARC (8K/60Hz display). Decode up to 9.3.4 or 7.3.6.
Outputs: AoIP at 192K (most likely 384kHz), AES3
HX-16D - Dirac room correction.
HX series most likely cost 2.5X to 3X more than H series.
I have the beta, but haven't seen any menu item saying passthrough. I also dont have any HDMI device that can take dolby. I have my minidsp connected, which only accepts LPCM. So maybe something shows up when a compatible device is connected, or maybe they are including it in the upcoming apple tv version.I don't suppose anyone is member of Apple Beta and therefore access to tvOS 26 beta 3 to see if they've added the passthrough we're after? Could we have the wrong end of the stick? Appleinsider thread.

It would be the first Apple device I've owned in over a decade, but if the upcoming Apple TV can "just work" with the H16-AES+Okto and these passthrough settings are there, I'd almost certainly buy it.
Same as current version. What items do you have in the "audio" menu?
What's the hosa box doing?Settings
PDFsDear Customers,
For customers who have ordered the H16-AIP, we’re pleased to let you know that shipments will begin on July 25. As with any new product launch, we encountered some delays related to parts availability, testing, and logistics. The H16-AIP and H16-AES come with a microphone and cable for automatic room calibration, and additional testing and calibration of the microphone added to the timeline — but that is now complete, and we’re ready to ship.
For customers in the USA — we ship the H16-AIP in bulk from our factory in Taiwan to our warehouse in Oregon, where orders are then distributed via USPS Ground. As a result, your tracking information may not be updated until the end of July or by August 4.
For customers outside the USA, you will receive a shipping status update as soon as your order is dispatched individually.
For customers who ordered the H16-AES, we sincerely apologize for the delay. The AES board is a newly developed component that required two rounds of prototyping and testing to ensure the best performance. The good news is that it’s now in production, and we expect to begin shipping around August 25.
