Wife is remodeling her room and wants to get rid of extra speaker boxes. Right now she's using a soundbar with a wireless sub/surrounds that we will donate.
Planned setup is Canton Karat 709 DC towers in a 20 x 10 x 8 room. 2.0 system with no sub. Speaker is ported and I assume benefits from good woofer control. Must handle TV audio and be easy to use daily. I do have UMIK-2 and REW and can do adjustments wherever the option allows.
1) $$$ - NAD C 379 + Dirac Live: 80wpc into 8 ohms, Damping factor > 300
2) $$/$$$ - WiiM Mini, miniDSP Flex HT, 200W AB amp: Damping factor > 400; but could also add on Dirac Live
3) $$ - WiiM Ultra, 200W AB AMP: Damping factor > 400
4) $ - WiiM Amp Ultra: 100wpc into 8 ohm; Damping Factor <100
Let's assume moderate listening levels 70-80db. Consider esthetic differences of integrated box vs separates.
What would you choose for yourself ? What would you choose for your spouse to use daily ?
