Portable USB DAC with it`s own battery power supply anyone ever seen one ?

Update :

Using the above y splitter single end to dac
It will not connect to cellphone using a 6inch usbc cable it only works with fosi audio shorter cable.

There is a sequence to plugging the cell dac and battery bank or power source, if it's not working try another sequence...

The dac operates cooler, the power output has definitely gone up, it's not that noticeable with ATH m50x but using the Sennheiser HD 600 it was absolutely noticeable the amout of detail added prior to adding the external power supply:]

Also plugged the aux end to House of marley bag of riddium speaker and absolutely more detail not as obvious but it's there.

I'm going to measure the output change using a multimeter today I'm curious if I the DX3 pro + would make any difference now, that would save me much $$$

I ordered the below stated usbc male end adapters from Amazon to test outhe connection between cell and splitter, I will post update when they arrive.

Duttek USB C Male to Male Adapter 40Gpbs,USB Type C Adapter Supports 8k@60HZ and 100W Fast Charging, Type C to Type C Male Adapter Compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 (2 Pack)

Don't think length has anything to do with it. Might it be that connection to a mobile only works when using a OTG cable?

Charging and playing over the USB at the same time: https://www.ddhifi.com/en/product/tc28cpro/

For other like myself : An OTG (On-The-Go) USB cable allows you to connect USB peripherals like flash drives, keyboards, or mice to your smartphone or tablet, enabling data transfer while charging. Must be other applications also ?

Thank you for the suggestion. It is so much more expensive for same task, if it was same price I would chose that design though....

Problem seems to be I need a dedicated data transfer USB-C cable to cell when using a sperate power supply ? OR it`s is a length issue... ?

The Fosi Audio supplied cable won`t charge my cell BUT it powers the DAC and transfers data ( Plays music ) when no splitter is used and no external power supply.

Maybe the other 2 way cable needs more juice when only transferring data longer then the fosi cable ?

The y splitter with separate headphone and charging ports I gave a link to works perfectly with supplied Fosi Audio USB-C cable just the other cable of similar length s a no go, it will charge my cell and do data transfer though...

Same thing is happening on my SMSL SU1 when I connect to my computer using the Y splitter only Supplied Fosi Audio cable works.

It`s a bit confusing with no external power supply no splitter, the Fosi cable powers the DAC from my cell and plays music so it`s transferring data and powering DAC but when cell has power from another source it`s a no go...

Other cables much longer ( 3 feet ) also work with no splitter in the way they power DAC and play music no problems. Same on SMSL SU1.

I`m sure it must related to the length, I`ll know tomorrow when those Duttek USB C Male to Male Adapters arrive...

I just received a fiio RR11 that is a USB Dac with a built in battery and amplifier.

It also has FM radio.

I got mine in silver, but I have decided I want black.

maybe when I get the black one I can send silver to Amir to see how it ranks.

I cannot find any specs so far, but it drives my headphones to volumes well beyond what I need.

I bought this Dual purpose charger / Power supply as I already had high quality Panasonic button top 18650 batteries with circuit protection and four Fenix 5000 mha, 21700 batteries.

I`m feed up with the TOMO T4 I`ve had it for years and never use it due to the circuit screaming every time I use it for power supply, works fine for charging 18650 batteries though.

You can use cell charger or what else for power as long as it`s 5votls DC.

The Fenix below is quiet as a church mouse.

I have other chargers for 18650 a Nitecore D4 & Inlife S4 but they are only chargers not dual purpose. The Fenix is worth the price if you wondering as it accepts the much larger batteries AND it`s very High quality reliable brand.

I don`t recommend inlife it`s cheap I bought Nitecore D4 after Inlife fried a LG 18650 making it hiss : O Mistakes happen D4 is mistake proof same as Fenix D2 Dual.

Sorry to be the guy to break this down but that has no DAC chip so no digital to PURE analog conversion like the Fosi DS1...

Or did I miss something it happens to all of us online researching.....

Maybe add another Type C jack for charging.
It works with the splitter, only when I use the Fosi Audio supplied cable though. I added the link to the splitter I`m using on page 1

So the Fosi Audio DS1 is now puling 0.20 amps with the splitter and separate power supply from the cell.

I`m using the TOMO T4 to see the amp flow reading.

So 5 volts 0.20 amps but what does that equal it terms of the out put spec`s 120mW(SE); 220mW(BAL) ?

Am I getting 200mw out of the 3.5 mm jack now ?

It sure sounds like it when comparing HD 600, 300 ohm headphones switching back and forth from this new y splitter setup from the stock one.

Difference is also very noticeable when using AUX jack input of my House of Marley Bag of riddim 2 speaker.

You cannot estimate output power from USB current draw.

But you can measure the Amp output power with a multimeter and estimate output power that way.

Update : the Duttek USB C Male to Male Adapter 40Gpbs,USB Type C Adapter Supports 8k@60HZ and 100W Fast Charging,
DO NOT WORK ETHER !!!

No idea what I'm missing about the fosi cable as it works but no other cables or adapters will connect to cell when using splitter.only the fosi cable.
