Hello, I have a portable speaker that I use at home and when I turn it on there's a voice that says "bluetooth mode" or " AUX mode" etc.. And I find the volume to be too loud: I live in a flat and each time I turn it on all my neighbour knows it, so I avoid using it too late at night, just because of that.

I would like to know if there's a way to turn down those audio files: I've tried to connect the speaker to my macbook vía USB and I can't find those files, I've also tried on a windows notebook and I still can't find them.

My plan is to download those files, turn down the volume on an audio software and replacing them. the problem I have is I can't find them.

Where are they?

Low-tech solution: Whenever starting up the speaker cover it with a pillow, blanket or similar to mute the startup sound.

If your casting music from your phone to the speaker using Bluetooth the volume is controlled by the phone volume buttons. At least that’s how my BT speakers work.

That's actually what I do but sometimes I forget so I was looking for a definitve solution, in fact I was thinking about buying a new one just because this bothered me so much.

They won't be files - they will be data built into the bluetooth chip or a software rom most likely. No way for you to modify them.

I use an IPOD but it's the same, the volume of the music is controlled by the ipod but not those sounds, those are always loud.
