I do hope someone can send this in to @amirm for a review. Maybe @Frank Dernie can send in one?

LOL. This isn't the first time designers have taken this tack. All Zu speakers use what they call "Griewe loading" for their port design. Not named after the work of an acoustic scientist, but rather Ron 'Ogre' Griewe, a guy who designs motorcycles.

The remote looks so cheap for how much there asking. It reminds me of the remotes that come with those cheap spdif & hdmi switches.

when something says limited edition, there is only one reason to buy it: you expect to be able to sell it higher in the future

Subaru did it better and now Porsche whores out the brand name like this.

Is that first thing real? I’ve had a few Jaipurs and am worried my brain is playing tricks on me.

saw one of these a few months back at a Porsche dealership. Porsche Design products rarely make sense to me.

Same here. I like Porsche cars, but every time I order one I feel like I'm being fleeced. So many features that are standard on a Prius or a sub-$20K Nissan cost hundreds or more. One of these days maybe I'll grow up and stop being fascinated by cars, especially Porsches. Probably not, but I get tempted.

I sure do. I was trying to figure out if it has a DAC in it. Any insight on that? From what I understand is it uses a real GT3 silencer as a resonator. It has spectacular sound and is a lovely conversation piece. It’s not my primary system. I’m still relatively new at all this but hoping to learn.

I guess it won't sound bad. Porsche has their own good acoustic devision and a strict quality control. I don't think they will sell out there brand for crappy products. It might look odd and won't be a price performance Soundbar but I bet it will sound good.

Porsche Design also had a cooperation with LD Systems https://www.ld-systems.com/en/series/maui-p900-series/19743/maui-p900-w
I have heard that the sound of this Pa speakers is pretty good.

I admire your optimism and belief in the brand. Anyway there's a new edition: https://www.porsche-design.com/de/e...oundbar-2.0-pro/?variationCode=WAP0509110NSDB
9k€ for a tacky piece of... tech, it's like a 12 years old boys wet dream for a 50 year old CEO price. They don't even show it below the TV where soundbar should go, but randomly hanged on the wall as a tacky piece of art

The design isn't for everyone.

But if you have an engine block as a coffee table it will match your aesthetic.
