Just received D50 iii and no matter what I try, no sound from the USB input. DAC detected by iPad. Coax input works. Reset to factory specs and still no USB. I assume the unit is faulty and am sending it back unless I have missed something.,...

Well, I just opened another D50 iii from amazon and although this one works with a remote, I can only get a very low output from it in usb selection. Tried with an iPad and a iPhone.....same thing! Gone back to a regular D50 which is working fine.....quite ridiculous!

i have d50 iii as well and i noticed some gain issues with iphone where if loudness control on iphone (through usb) is 1 - 10 it would be very quiet through 1 to 8 and last steps would jump to full volume, not that i care though i am android user myself so this is not an issue to me but i could see where apple users could be quite pissed with the device, this was tested on firmware 1.30, since then i upgraded to 1.39 and i have no way to test if this is fixed
