Was just reminded of one of my system killers ...

This has massive, overwhelming sound when everything's in alignment - my current playback is not yet good enough to carry this off ... needs SPLs and super clean refinement to get it right ...

Dam this subheaders been quiet for a while. I think we made too many similar headers, most everything ending up in Listening To Now lately?
Anyway punched up one of my all time fav's tonight,
Richard Thompson - Rumor and Sigh
Nothing to brag about in SQ but almost every song is a lyrical work of art IMO
When this gem first came out I could swear the guy was into my head, reading my mind/emotions at the time. Now too! LOL
Check out this live performance of Feel So Good, wOOt.
Oh one more not to miss off R&S

A great album from a career full of them. This one, though, defines RT's electric sound in many ways. And yes, the writing is excellent. Also a big fan of Mirror Blue, Amnesia and Mock Tudor.

In the first live video I love the bass players stage presents. He looks like he's having such a gas playing while he and the drummer lay down a very solid rhythm line.

I few posts on this forum serve to some what undermine those sentiments :D

Forgive our Norwegian friend, he suffers from quite a acute fetish... As you might of noticed ;) but alas what he does with a jar of rollmops in his own time is entirely his own business :D

And also, I vote for 1970. Not only did Sabbath release their first album, but this happened in Japan:

You get me now? The Japanese owns us all. Resistance is futile. :D

There ya go talkin in that funny foreign language again. I had to google to find out what a "rollmop" was. I was thinking it was something you used to clean the floors only to find out it's some stinky dead fish rolled around a pickle like a burrito. YUCK
I don't want to think about what sexual fetish you can act out with one.

I did recognize one picture in that last music video...@ 1:30 - which I used once as an avatar @ another site.
And I was surprised that it became a small controversial subject of conversation by some of the members over there.
Not many, but few objected to that picture. They saw in it what I did not. But no problemo with the majority...99% including the site's owner.

The picture is also fabricated; it's not a real tattoo.

Rawk! ...

Better than I was expecting. Thank you. My older daughter likes Babymetal (the band). Most of what they do belongs firmly in the metal thread, but this sort of fits here:

Even if you don't watch it all, check out the arena in the last 30 seconds...
