Pop/Rock & Roll ♫ Music only | Popular, Classic Rock, new Rock, all Pop/Rock...

Oh thanks Don, this is one of my music type (Blues) for sure. I didn't know about her and the musicians playing with her, so she's coming home now, with her band.
Nina Hagen - I'm Gonna Live The Life I Sing About In My Song.

Dipping into the Rick Wakeman catalog again tonight. Both are great sounding albums and
I love the way the deeeep organ/synth + guitar basslines excite my dual Hsu subwoofers. :D

You're a band appearing on a late night TV music show, to play your greatest hit. You've played it so often you could do it in your sleep. Do you phone it in, or do you decide to have a little fun?

Love this so much. This is heavy...

I saw the remake of "Robocop" the other day, and what do you know. This track is played over one of the action scenes! I actually said "Focus!" out loud, even though I was alone... :D

She was quite well known back in the 80s ("Smack Jack", "African Reggae" etc). She mostly does jazz these days, but there are gems to be mined on Youtube.

Here's that previous track live on The Late Show:

And another blues standard:

If you go to Youtube and search for "nina hagen" "personal jesus tour" (with the quote marks) there are others from that tour.

And last, just to blow your mind, the vocal gymnastics she used to indulge in when she was young:

She definitively has a special way of murdering some blues classics.
Good bands though.

What about a bit o' crossover then - "classical" and ...

Long time since I thought of him, though I do have a LP rip of the Children of the Sun on the HD.
They all do seem to be struggling a bit with that live performance.

In my opinion, Jan Akkerman was one of the best guitarists in the world in the 70s.

Ah, what the hell - give the man some room ...

Naaaaahhh !!!

Johnny Winter full gig Copenhagen 1970. Let it play till the end!

Or just see this, if you ain't got the time...

Johnny's last interview:

Can I say this? I'm just gonna say it.

The blackest white man ever. Johnny Winter. RIP.
