After a long time of not listening to music due to migraines and tinnitus, I recently started listening to music again through headphones.
What I still have is an O2+Odac combo and a superlux hd668b that I EQ. I quite enjoyed the sound to be fair.
I upgraded the headphones and gotten a Sennheiser HD600. Since vocals are one of my main joys in listening to music I greatly enjoy my o2+odac+HD600 combo.
My question: would a modern DAC, like the Topping D10S for example, be an improvement over the ODAC? Not just a change in sound, but actually improve anything?
I don't have any experiences with modern DACs, so it's hard for me to tell how different the music can sound? Or if the difference would be minimal.
I quite like the clean "pure" sound I'm getting from my setup now, I know I've listened to a warmer setup years ago at my friend's place (with tubes), but it was too "colored" for me I noticed then I didn't enjoy that.
Any feedback is helpful, thanks!
