What speakers are you using? Perhaps for around your budget 10k there are active speakers that might be a worthwhile upgrade

Look more like gaming consoles than hi fi.

Off-topic (sorry), but you just reminded me of Mark Levinson's "gaming PC" amplifier (No 53):

Don't love it, don't hate it.

Doesn't make me think "oh cool, I want that."

Makes me think, "eh...I could live with that if I had to."

Yeah, the display is wayyy to much for moi.

Also, not all the Moons have that odd red display.
Though this one has 50/100W into 8/4 ohm, which may not be the power range you want.

Ok, curiosity bit me... I searched for Ming Day and found the follow site:
By the way, it is a hoot!

I love browsing this site when I am bored.
Not easy to find anything but lots of surprise finds.
It may even be the latest version of the place I bought my Classic 16.0 amp from (which is nla).
The prices are quite a lot higher than they used to be a few years ago, which is just as well since I would be buying more stuff I don't need.
Based purely on the styling I bought a CD player at the same time as the amp, I actually have that, using its digital output, in my horn system permanently. It looks great.
They sell nicely made cables that look like they cost thousands for sensible money too.

Some of the brand marketing is crazy.

Line Magnetic offers amps from $500 to $27,000.

I had to strongly resist the urge to come up with a system somewhere in the house to justify buying one.

You surely have a system in each bathroom, don't you Frank?
