I've been rather enjoying mixing L and R loudspeakers. First it was inspired by the asymmetrical setup I have, but then I realized I can probably learn my ears a thing or two just like my parents booklearned me all the way through primary school. So when I saw a hardly used single Polk L600 for $400, as an instant fan of LSiM703s, I just couldn't resist. Then because I already have three RP-8060FA IIs I'm not crazy about, I figured I should get the L900 Atmos module and properly compare and then likely sell 2 of the RP-8060FAs. And this is ignorant right because I can just install proper height speakers that are actually high. And we have a popcorn ceiling which somebody in a YouTube video comment said is equivalent to three-quarters of a meter of rockwool so the Atmos reflections might not sound like a real Black Hawk is circling overhead.

1) what do you think of my asymmetrical floorstander setup in my asymmetrical room? The candidates are the Klipsch and Polk speakers I've mentioned as well as LRS+ Magnepans, Aurum Cantus V7Fs, RBH SX T1s, and Polk LS70s (kinda vintage). I have 4 discrete sub outs and many more actual subs so I guess my LS50 Metas and LSiM703s in principle could stand next to any floor standing speaker I have, no? There's only 4ft been right edge of TV and the right side wall. The side wall to the left channel might as well be on the moon. Currently I have an LRS+ and RBH SX T1 as L/R.
2) Has anybody personally experienced real sensations of height from up-firing Atmos modules?
3) just for fun, what do you think when you see this module? It's not often we buy speakers and get exposed crossovers right out of the box. I sent about 4x it's value to a guy who is going to put tube connectors in it for chocolatey mids.
