Polk ES15 or XT20? Or something else?

So I'm looking for a bookshelf speaker and the out of the options I've found in Brazil the Polk ES15 and XT20 seem to be the most interesting to me, but I really am not sure which would be better, the bigger speaker of the cheaper line, or the smaller of the slightly more expensive line. There are also other options that I haven't been able to find much information on.

The options I've found and their price in the local currency, the current exchange rate is R$6=US$1

Polk ES20 - R$2500

What are the better options out of these?

R$4250, about 700 dollars. Not really possible, I would like to keep as close to R$2000 as possible, but can stretch it to R$2500
Also there aren't many options available here, the ones I mentioned are pretty much everything I could find below R$2500, there are a few Klipsch speakers, but it seems like their cheaper speakers aren't really worth it.

I'd probably try the es15's or the es20's then....they are probably the best bets.. I don't know much about Monitor Audio , they have a lot of fans ,they may be a good choice, but based on what I know I'd stay with Polk from the choices on your list

Yeah at the moment the two main options I'm considering are the XT20 and ES15, but I'm not sure on what would be the difference between a smaller slightly more "premium" speaker and a bigger more budget one. I also am considering to go for the ES20, but I really don't know if it's worth R$700 more than it's smaller version.
I could try to stretch the budget even further to a KEF Q150 for R$3150, with the other alternatives up to that price being the bigger versions of already listed speakers, the Monitor Audio Bronze 100(R$2950) and Q Acoustics 3020i(R$2700) and 3030i(R$3250).

the es20 would give you more bass , i'm not sure how much this is needed at near field distance , maybe someone else will know better...

Coincidentally, I have the same doubt regarding the models you mentioned. In my research I was between the Polk XT15/ES15 or JBL Stage 250B/Studio 620. However, I am more inclined to purchase the Studio 620. However, I have not yet been able to reach a solid conclusion...
