Right

Right but they're low quality plastic things...why would they even consider investing in something like this?
Logitech had over $5 billion in revenue in 2021… a Klippel is a drop in the bucket for their R&D department and allows them to design the best speakers they can for their target audience.

That makes sense but do you think they actually use the NFS?

The game is changing. Polk now is back to life. They were going the Klipsch way... Bad sounding products (for the most part) with a pedigreed name.. No more. They have the money, the knowledge and the facilities to make good speakers at decent price. More power to Science :)
Waiting for one audiophile outfit to take the plunge.. Will it be Wilson? or Magico? :p

Very nice trend, hopefully others will start following too.

Magico already has an NFS and has been using for a while now. But other big names like Wilson, B&W, Focal should start using it too.

I got to that Klippel page [after some refinements to Google search parameters] because my train of thought was that Polk is geting kudos or praise here, and someone said "recently", but Edifier seems to be dissed, but [afaik] they have used Klippel for several years.

B&W is there, Vivid Audio is not.

I don't know but, basically, one system is for designing drivers and another is for testing loudspeakers.

That could well explain the very good showing of the A5.

Focal as I understand it has a pretty sizeable anechoic chamber.

How many different types of measuring devices do they make?
They have a few platforms. The core is the analyzer. You then license software modules for it and hardware add-ons. NFS is one add on. There are other robotic systems using lasers, magnetic fields, etc. Most of the time when you see someone saying they are using "Klippel" they mean the base analyzer box which generates tones, and captures the output of the speaker/driver using a microphone. It does NOT mean NFS unless it says so as is the case here.

Always assumed Polk had a properly equipped anechoic chamber, which should be superior to Klippel. Maybe not.

Wonder if they are optimizing to reviewers equipment.

The game is changing. Polk now is back to life.

As long as they bring back Matthew Polk in his famous white raincoat lab coat.
