Please help in understanding and choosing - CBM-170SE2 vs F6B vs C6B

Someone recommended me to look at KEF Q1 Meta as well, going around 399$ atm.
Looks like it may got these run for the money.

Suggests please?

The KEF Q1 Meta can be a good option if the 5.25-inch driver can get as loud as you desire without perceiving distortion.

I bought Q1 Meta recently and thought they sucked. The spin on them doesnt show you everything, like the unsppressed woofer breakup that makes the HF sound distorted. Distortion on the woofer was too high to enjoy them and made them sound cheap. I intended to pull the drivers and make a 3 way speaker but the driver was kind of not good. I dissected the Q1 about as much as you can and boy that thing sure feels like they tried to cut as many corners as they could.

The ascend speaker really seems like theyre trying to give people as much as they can for the price. I havent heard them, but I will probably get a pair.

Which one? If C6B, it we have plenty in stock in black. F6B will be arriving in a few weeks.

I couldn't figure it out on the website but is there a way to order a single C6B to be used as a center? ( So 3 total, pair + 1)

thank you.

how does that directivity difference impacts in listening?

If you have speaker with a uniform dispersion above where most typical 1 inch domes start to narrow (say 7K), and you listen to music with a lot of energy up here, say complex rock band tracks, compared to a speaker like the Ascend's with the narrowing dispersion in the high frequency range is going to sound overly "clean" with the vocals standing out. Whereas in a speaker with more uniform dispersion here will capture all the chaos of the high frequency noise like snares, cymbals, hi-hats, tambourines, etc. For example when I compare the Sierra LX with something like the Kef Reference 1 Metas and I listen to a messy rock track, it sounds more "studio like" with the Ascends and the vocals sound extremely clear, whereas with the KEFs I have more trouble making out the vocals because mix is being overpowered by the chaos/cacophony of the high-frequency range. I suspect the latter is much more tonally accurate even if some people might prefer the cleaner sounding version of the Ascends.

There isn't one currently but I have an existing customer (I think) still waiting to buy a single one. As such, we could split the pair between you. The challenge is that they come two in a box and we haven't yet figured out how to safely ship the other one. We could buy another box from the factory but then have to pass that cost to you all. So maybe $50 premium?

Thank you, I'll be in touch when I'm ready to purchase. Waiting for the F6Bs to also come back in stock and maybe waiting to see the new 3 way center to see if the performance difference is worth holding out for. Thanks again.

I have a DIY speaker that is basically a C6B, and I'm hoping to grab the cbm170 next week and will post my thoughts comparing them when they arrive. I wanted to try something wider and not too expensive and cbm170 v2 looks great.
