basically only way to get surround on the ps5, is to have 5 or 7 speakers, then select the 5.1 or 7.1 and adjust them.

Virtual surround only exists for headphones and devices connected directly with HDMI such as TVs and monitor with speakers

so getting an hdmi is probably pointless, it could work but i cant find any proof

GOOD NEWS

I was able to activate Sony 3d audio, all I had to do was change AV receiver to TV and it gave me the option, calibrate room and hear the difference between stereo and 3d audio

I don't think you need a hdmi extractor for this, as long as you have a monitor with headphone input, then you can connect the monitor to the PC or audio interface, then to speakers
