Pitt & Giblin speakers (Spinorama available)

Yeah the Tenet is a giant, but floor print might be easier. But well it’s not for a regular home.
It wasn’t so much the size of the room but the ability to place them right in there (mine is 5X8).

I’ve completely given up on the audio hobby because of the small room. I’m waiting for better times. Now I know, that for me the best is start with room, building what I really want - dimensions and design, and later audio setup and acoustic treatment.

Building the listening room to suit would be the ultimate luxury for those who enjoy our listening.
I’ve just been nothing but purely lucky in my final apartment even though it’s so acoustically disastrous in shape.
It has open passages, nooks and cutouts and dimension changes in all directions that it somehow sounds better to me than anywhere else I’ve lived. Except for deep bass, nothing has much chance of huge horizontal-dimension room mode peaks. There’s a 100Hz null at MLP though. It hides the boxiness of smaller spkrs with boosts there.
Even small speakers like LS50s or Wharfedale Diamonds sound HUGE managing substantial 40Hz in-room at MLP.
However, if I get up & walk around, that bass magic crashes down to disappointing reality very quickly.
Larger format spkrs exciting this room is a pretty scary thought. Thank goodness (or Wiim!) for readily accessible eq.

That’s why I want a dedicated room or even a separate building—we’ll see, I’m optimistic.
