There may be some other aficionados of pipe organ recordings and music here. I am one.
I recently came across the series of programs below. Chicago-born, Nathan Laube is often described as one of the best, if not the best organist* currently living. He is also a scholar and a teacher, currently in Germany. Nathan shares his knowledge in a series of four programs recorded while he was on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY in 2019. He provides many examples of music, most played by him, on organs around the world.
There is a drought for Laube organ recordings -- he seems to spend his efforts more on concertizing and teaching. Thus, I found good luck in happening on this fine series of programs for WFMT. Try them on for size and color.
*Best is, of course, a relative thing. Others call him the best, not necessarily me. But I do say I haven't heard better.
