@amirm ,

FYI

The Facebook page for Kino Lorber says they are preparing 5 'Pink Panther' films for release on 4K disc. No release date is listed.

i may upgrade this when ready to laserdisc , don't like these studios soundmixers tampering with soundtracks into near field mixes , saw all these at the cinema in their days

amazon

but it will be my friend repeat , repeat nothing here in a week on LD original theatrical mix mono

The Facebook page for Kino Lorber confirms a box set of the five films will be released on the same date in 'early 2026' as the Return of the Pink Panther. KL says the latter film has a different rights holder and a master could not be readied in time for release with the other titles.

The only two Pink Panther movies I think are worth owning are The Pink Panther and Shot in the Dark. Hopefully, these will make to Apple in the near future for purchase, as I'm in the process of a complete system change and I'm not sure the Blu-ray4K Player is going to make it back into the mix.:rolleyes:

Blu-ray dot com gives a 5 star review to the quality of picture and audio on 4K disc and notes the transfer to 1080p Blu-ray disc is excellent too.

I am unfamiliar with Kaleidascape.

I see an option to buy The Pink Panther (1963) in 'HD' but not yet '4K' at Kaleidascape.

Am I correct in assuming Kaleidascape users will eventually be able to purchase the same transfer in 4K as a digital download ?

keep these on laserdisc original theatrical mixes with proper dynamic range - say no to the evils of 4k , say yes to laserdisc better cover artwork

I know I will probably be flamed for this, but I quite like the Steve Martin remakes...
