Hey everybody!
Thought we might share good or not so good pictures of our current or past listening stations/rigs. Might be fun to see what type of hardware everybody has and how it looks like in its natural habitat.

This is my current setup:
DAC: Topping D10
Amp: Massdrop THX AAA 789 and PMillet Nutube Hybrid
View attachment 20172
The Eizo monitor: nice. I have one, too. The colour depth and even display temp make it really easy on the eyes.

Sorry, but here's the best crappy smartphone shot I could muster this afternoon of my currently office desk/dumping station:

Measurements made with REW same day early in the morning here.

He's made of plastic, but the original was made of Plasticine (a non-setting modelling clay)...

Other name is "claymation" I believe. Love that style of art especially when I was a kid. It can be done really well like "The Fantastic Mr. Fox", although sometimes horribly like: worst and best claymation
Here is a former state of my vintage office set-up (now it's bi-amped with tubes on top  ) :

I wonder if the bricks contribute anything for the acoustics other than being your makeshift (?) rack stand. This is not the first time I've seen something like this though...

Sure, on top of this low-cost modular antiseismic design being my crown jewel as DIY king, unpainted cinderblocks also have interesting acoustic properties (from Everest et al, Master Handbook of Acoustics - is this audio science, or what ? ;) ) :

Very minimalist, I see. Though It would be nice not to have to carry extra "dongles" and an external amp.

True. This was a rather recent change as my previous setup was the SE846 directly out of my iPhone (via FiiO iRC-MMCX lightning cable). Thus far this “upgrade” has proved more subjective than objective, and if I weren’t so lazy, it would’ve been returned by now.

One portable amp I'd like Amir to measure is the Periodic Audio Nickel. He's spoken with them before so it may be in the works.

50% off right now apparently.

Lately, it's been the Washburn 12-string mostly, followed by the Fiio M3K/Sennheiser HD 599 then [in the background] a/d/s 400's hooked up to a Yahama 5.1 receiver, set up as 2-channel + sub configuration. Often I'll use my Fiio M3K as source for the speaker system. Not shown, the Onkyo cassette dec, Sony DVD/SACD/CD player. There's also Schiit Magni 3 headphone amp, Sennheiser 579s, a couple of Sony Blu-Ray players that also play SACDs, other stuff too.

Naw, I won't make fun of your cable risers, etc. :p
I envy that room, a perfect size to set up an awesome HiFi
Thanks for posting the photos, I enjoy looking at the members various rigs.
Have fun with that great system.
