Fat old people in tight clothes… why? Why?

Double WHY!

Where I live (rural with big hills) I regularly encounter gaggles of middle aged blokes on bikes, with each individual cyclist oozing sprawling real estate clad in tight, bright Lycra (festooned with advertising) making believe they are Tadej Pogačar.

So think beached whales on bikes.

Not a pretty sight.

Now of course, I too would look like this (if I donned tight, bright Lycra outdoors) but I have the common sense to not offended the general public... I keep my tight, bright Lycra for the bedroom.

Taken at 00.01am this morning up in the Galloway Hills, SW Scotland. This is where I sat to welcome in the longest day, hopefully I’ll head out later tonight to see the end of the longest day if I recover from the heatwave we are having…..heat plays absolute havoc with my SPMS and fu*ked nerve signalling issues

It's not a pic I've taken so I'll link instead of embedding but I just love this. It's from when I still followed bike racing and an actually interesting and quite exciting TdF stage. And when Liquigas had those awesome Cannondales. I still have one of those too.

This is a photo I took a good few years ago of Mars through a Celestron 14” scope on an equatorial mount. From memory it was 30 photos of 2 sec exposure stacked and processed in Pixinsights.
