Pics you’ve taken,

Not the silliest things I have purchased.

We're not too far from the White Mountains -- but we're in the Connecticut River "Upper Valley", a lovely place all its own -- and I am, I have come to realize, obsessed with autumn. :)
Like most things in New England, the "leaf peeper" part of autumn is brief but intense. This weekend has been gorgeous.

Yesterday morning in the backyard.

And yesterday evening out front.

Finally...

Last night in the front yard. I was looking for aurorae, but didn't see them. :( It was still a lovely night.

N.B. These are all the original, unmodified images.

Yay, fall pics! Here's my little river:

Hiking the Great South West Walk with my daughter - guests at our campsite (or maybe we were guests at theirs)

You can’t see it in the photo and I couldn’t get close enough but there’s a little Joey in mum’s pouch.

that's very, very nice. what kind of camera/lens? i looked at the file metadata and nothing there.

i took a 28mm on the walk today. i really struggle with anything wider than 50. whatever wide scene i see that i like the look of looks meh to crap after i frame it with a wide. i don't really know why but i think it has to do with the difference between the experience of being there and the image. with a tele i can make images that nobody including me saw when we were there.
