Hi,

As the title suggest, I have the following setup mainly streaming from Spotify,
and I would like to also stream from my tv.

I got no way to connect my tv to the DAC (not optical in) and if I would, there is not way to control which input is selected.

As for volume control, I never use the AMP remote, just the Spotify volume control.

Would happy to get you help whats is the best value solution here.

Thanks

Sell everything for a WiiM Amp/Amp Pro/Amp Ultra.

WiiM automatically switches input when you turn on the TV or start streaming Spotify.

Same EQ/room correction applied to all inputs.

Volume control via TV remote, WiiM remote, WiiM Home App, WiiM volume knob, or streaming service like before.

Expandable with a subwoofer (3rd party via RCA or wireless WiiM Sub), as well as wireless Dolby surround.

Room correction either automated via WiiM Home App, or with full manual control over 10 PEQ bands per channel.

Sub integration (Xover frequency, phase, level, delay) configurable right from your MLP using WiiM Home.

You should have either an optical or coaxial out from your TV. I think the Khadas has a coaxial in. Just run a coaxial cable from your tv to you toneboard. If it's optical out for your TV, Amazon sells optical to coax converter boxes for a modest amount. Just use the optical out into the converter box, and a coaxial into the Toneboard in that case. Most smart TVs will run all the apps you need including spotify, so you can just use the tv as your source for everything as long as you have an integrated amp with a volume control on it.

Thank you both.

I prefer to keep the system separated for now.

The optical converter is a good option.

What about optical input hat for the pi? Could that work with volumio for example?

The best solution is a small HDMI audio extractor. It takes the HDMI from your TV and outputs an analog signal to your DAC so your music can go through your amplifier. And so you can control the volume from your app or source device.

I am bit confused I got to say, so I just gonna put my thought and maybe you guys can make sense to me, I want:
1. preferably 1 remote for switching sources and volume control.
2. to keep using Raspberry Pi for future PEQ room correction I'm planning.
3. to be able to upgrade to a power amp, preferably with balanced connections. (maybe this it too much to ask).

Basicly, I want to keep the setup as modular as possible, but maybe I'm wrong trying to achieve this.

Say I want to spend up to 350$, what would you suggest?
