Hello everyone, I am the new member. I have an Accuphase integrated model : E306V, my turntable is Technics model: SL7. Unfortunately, there is no phono in my Accuphase E306V. I am looking for a suitable phono preamp for my system with the budget of about $500. Could you please kindly advise me which one I should buy?

Many thanks indeed.

Unfortunately, there is no phono in my Accuphase E306V

Have you put in a search on eBay or contacted Accuphase directly about obtaining the AD-10 phono stage?

There's plenty for sale.

Many thanks for your kind advise. I will consider and will find out how to install it to my E306V.

If the AD-10 doesn't work out for whatever reason, I would recommend the Parks Audio Waxwing.

Very capable, and fun to play with.

Remove the cover plate and slide the AD-10 card into the exposed slot. Done.

Alternatively the Cambridge Audio Solo/Duo are highly reviewed on this forum.
The Solo is for moving magnet cartridges only. US$230
The Duo is for MM and MC cartridges. US $350

Many thanks indeed for your kind advice. I like to purchase the Cambridge Audio Solo! :)

I can recommend the ProJect DS-3B with balanced connection to your turntable. Using it myself with an Audio Technica 33 PTG II (MC) on a Technics SL1210GR with stock tone arm and stock tone arm cabling and there is absolutely no hum and no distortion. You can adjust input impedance, input resistance, amplification, and it has an effective rumble filter.

If I would buy new today, I would like to try the Classic Audio MC Pro or MM Pro by Michael Fidler. They seem very well engineered, however, unfortunately are very expensive.
