So I am need of a second set of desktop speakers, originally I was just going to go with the d3v as they are amazing but when I started looking into it the philharmonic true mini popped up. Looks like there are very few reviews and videos on it to begin with and not much more. Would it be worth it getting. the true mini or just stick with another set of the d3v? For reference I have no idea on what the measurements mean, what they do, what EQ is, or what not. Literally the only thing that matters is they sound amazing, that's about my only criteria. To drive the the mini I would use the fosi v3 along with a smsl su1 dac.

Hi @kishanpatel995! Welcome to ASR.

The only complete measurements we have of Philharmonic speakers are from the BMR and Ceramic Mini (Link), so we don't know really how the True Mini performs or how it would compare to the D3V.

If that's an indication, the Ceramic Mini has a lot lower distortion and compression than the D3V, so can play louder without breaking apart.

Directivity control, so how the off-axis sound compares to on-axis, ain't great though on the Ceramic Mini.
