I'm looking at maybe replacing my arendal 1961 monitors with some perlisten x3w which look to be nearly identical in size or moving up to the x5w which are considerably bigger and heavier at 20kg.
I'm struggling to find a reason to justify the price though. At £1000 for a single x3w and with it being a 2 way mtm I not sure what I would gain switching to it, the x5w being a 2.5 way feels like it should be an upgrade but seeing as they don't even have the dcp array at £1400 I feel like even they are on the pricier side, I'm assuming a lot of that price is just build quality with the solid aluminum and steel enclosures.

I'm not unhappy with my speakers and they will play louder then I will ever need them to but every now and then I get the urge to upgrade.

Space constraints stop me from getting bigger speakers as I would have quite liked to try 5 arendal 1610 bookshelves as a base layer as they are not overly expensive from the outlet but just too big.

About the only thing "wrong" with your Arendals is the MTM cancellation, but finding good 3-way on-wall LCR speakers is tough.

Some other options:

-Arendal 1528 Slim 8 / 1610 Slim 8
-Perlisten R4i-LCRS + OWF-4i
-JBL SCL-9 / SCL-9XL

Did not know jbl did on walls like that, very nice, they will probably be far out of my price range I imagine as they don't seem to be sold in the uk.

I'm already kicking myself for missing out on a pair of r4i with mounting kit for cheap as I convinced myself at the time they were only surrounds but realistically I could have easily used them up front given how low I play content and how small my room is.
The 1610 slim is another one I'm considering up front as lcr as if I ever move to a larger room I could move them to surrounds and switch to the bookshelf, they are quite big though.

Here's a price list I found online:

They are custom install though, so you'd have to find a local integrator for them.
