Ignoring price, availability, aesthetics, supporting a small business, build quality, etc. Focusing solely, 100% on audio performance, what are you guys' thoughts on how one might choose between these speakers? Curious to hear everyone's thoughts on strengths/weaknesses of any of them. Hope it's not a can of worms. :)

Thanks, I'm asking about the R5t not the S7t. And I've read the AH review of the BMR Towers. The Salk one is relatively new. But I'm really curious to hear people's thoughts on the above models, whether firsthand impressions, deductions made from measurements, etc. :)

If you are from EEUU the BMR tower it's a great option SQ per dollar, but i'd pick the Kef reference 3 at 10,000 ~

I almost bought those. But I was listening to the 5s and didn’t have a chance to compare. 5s were too low WAF

The reference 5 and 3 are kind of the same, did you liked the 5s?

For me these ref3 speakers looks amazing and sounds even better, my problem is not their look or their sound, but their price..., but at leas it worth, these speakers are big and very well done.

Hands-down the Philharmonic based on what measurements we have. That sudden change in directivity in the Perlisten will definitely color the sound. In what way I'm not sure without listening, but I'd rather have the very wide and more even far off-axis response of the Philharmonic.
Too fugly a speaker for me, though.

Yes. The two speakers I really enjoyed the most were those and the Harbeths I bought. Unfortunately, there were days between the sessions, so the comparison was flawed.

Interesting, looking at just those 2 plots, the BMR measurements actually look a little better than the Perlisten.

They do have a smoother, wider response. I just find it hard to tell if I will like that or not. I don't really have firsthand experience comparing wide and narrow speakers and am not sure how to gain such experience.

Serious speakers. I'd love to give them a listen.

That said, for the price I'm not sure this is the direction I'd head.

Jim Salk sent these measurements along for the BePure
