To be honest 12 gauge wire is perfect for almost any speaker use. If you want to go to the max then 10 gauge would be it. Anything more than that is just getting thick wires for no reason. Good Luck!

I have some 10 gauge power cables but can’t imagine needing that for speaker cables.

Heh, I agree I have enough trouble fitting 12 gauge into my banana plugs. I know 10 would not fit.

The thing a lot of people don't understand is that music is not a constant high level affair. You have current spikes but not a constant high current. That is why 12 gauge is more than enough for speakers. Plus 12 gauge stays flexible enough to not torque on your connections. It really is the gold standard of speaker wire. It will pass enough current to cook any home speaker driver if you have enough amp to overdrive your speakers. I have let the smoke out of a of individual tweeters and woofers. But I used constant frequencies that caused a constant high level of current. Thus smoke was born!

I thought so and I tried an another source.
I connected a Denon receiver I have in another room with Denon DCD-1600NE with CD and SACD I listened to too many times so I know how they should sound.
I’ve contacted Perlisten to get their input and my stereo dealer.
I bought my Perlisten and preamp + power amps from him so at least I have one contact.
I’ve connected my Benchmarks with B&W 602 S2 speakers I have and they sound great.
You have any updates on your problem?

They have a guess why? Bridged benchmark??
A test tone of 20KHz that was +15dB gain
It caused the Benchmark to clip but it was not fast enough to cut off before it reached the speakers.

Thank you for reply. I was concerned my monoblocks maybe too powerful. Will stay away from continuous test tones. Glad you found out the cause

Just received the perlisten s7t limited edition. Incredible sound. Moved on from the Evolution Acoustics MM2. The perlistens took a few days of maneuvering to get them correct. No need for subwoofers which I thought may be needed after listening to large speakers with active subs for 10 years. Not having to push around a 300lb speaker is a plus.

Just received the perlisten s7t limited edition
Congratulations; excellent choice! Has Perlisten started producing the S7t Limited Edition tower speakers again or did you just take delivery of them from a prior purchase? Weren't they all supposed to be sold out almost as much as a year ago? Although can't really afford them right now, these are my dream L/R main speakers.

They were a dealers demo in 10/10 condition. Ed Sudario from "THE Audio Association" is a dealer for both Evolution Acoustics and Perlisten speakers so I was extremely fortunate to receive a pair. His partner actually drove a thousand miles to deliver and set them up and pick up the EA mm2.

The S7t is the best speakers I've ever own. Have them with two SVS SB-3000 with miniDSP DIRAC and treated room. Absolutely nirvana.

I also own the Neumann KH120, they are excellent as well, but different speakers. The Neumann have even better imaging but the S7t being towers fills your room up and the mid range is just butter.

Sometimes, I'm looking at my phone while listening on the S7t and I would hear certain things in the music that makes me lift my head up and I would rewind the music, because I never noticed the prominence of certain details in the music before. And I swear till this day, I still think I have a center channel because the phantom center from the imaging is that focus. Quite uncanny.

I think the only other speakers that can beat these is the S7t LE, maybe the KEF Blade, if Erin's rave is that real.

I will of course agree with you. I did not consider the KEF Blades. They are too modern a design for my tastes and room. Plus their side firing speakers would pose a problem in my multipurpose room. But they do have great reviews.

I don't know what sorcery and black magic Dan and Erik pocesses over at Perlisten but they sure did created something extraordinary.

I also agreed that the Blade's design is very modern.

I own Perlisten S7t for more than 3 years now and beside the amazing sound they brought to my life the support from Dan and his company is amazing.
I had a problem a few month ago and their support is outstanding.
Companies should takes notes and learn how to gain customers trust.
I have another amazing product (DAC) which has the worst support ever and their representative is arrogent and dumb.

Indeed, I don't know if that is still the case anymore since Perlisten is growing as a company and I'm sure they are hiring more people. But before when I called Perlisten, the phone is actually Erik's cell phone or forwarded to him. The CTO taking calls from customers. Good stuff man.

The other company that I want to call out that has excellent customer service is Ascend Acoustics. I have interacted with Dave extensively and he has yet to grown tired of me.

The one thing I would say is that, when I audition the S7t in person, the room was huge, vaulted ceiling, rather empty and untreated. There were so much reverberations and some room mode. They did not sound good. But after watching Erin's review on the Perlisten bookshelf and looking through the data, I took a "chance." Let's just say the rest is history.

So the moral of the story, (1) the Spinaroma and the associated data like polar maps matters and matters A LOT, of course along with other measurements such as compression and distortion. (2) The room and setup is probably as important as the speakers themselves.

:D

Can't wait to hear more details about it. I assume it probably share the same exact drivers and crossover as the limited edition but just a different cabinet that's made of all aluminum.

Gene Delasella on Revel vs. Perlisten.

I'll be nice here: to be fair, the Revel is a very old design.

The use of the word "detail" with Perlisten keeps coming up. And I agree, there is something magic with how it projects certain nuance detail. And frankly, I even think these Perlisten will beat out the Salon2, and if close, certainly the LE will come in and take out the Salon2.

EDIT: One of the things that Gene said in the video was that the Revel quality and built were cheap, and I couldn't agree more, that's exactly one of the reasons why I sold my F226Be about 3 years ago, their build quality matched maybe half of it's price point.
