Just in time for the holidays: There is a 50% sale on music at PENTATONE | the music label for classical music (pentatonemusic.com)

Most tracks are downloadable in hi-res FLAC or as DSD. The latter are as ISOs that you can rip into .DSF files with SACD_ExtractGUI software.

Use the code XMAS2020 at checkout to get the discount - its mentioned on the URL.

Enjoy.

50% off their very high prices is a decent price. eClassical is doing a days of advent with 50% of their reasonable prices for 4 albums each day. (I am a surround fan, and one of the 4 is surround). https://www.eclassical.com/pages/christmas20.html

Forum members looking for Pentatone (and other labels) releases in SACD might try the Berkshire Record Outlet, a website for closeouts and overruns:

https://www.broinc.com/

The last time that I checked, BROINC has a large selection of Pentatones, including the Wagner cycle that another forum member mentioned. (I don't know if international shipping makes any sense though...).

Thanks, but in fine, I took this one https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/8063555--wagner-der-ring-des-nibelungen as the price is incredible and vocal performance a lot better. Too bad, because I vastly preferred the sound of the orchestra and production of the Pentatone, but I guess a lot more money was used to hire the performers on the Solti one.

Hey thanks for the link. I'm dowloading Beethoven's complete symphonies for a tenner. Lucky the pound is still strong so exchange rates are favorable.

Thanks for the link - I bought 8 Pentatone SACD's from there.

Thanks - I think this will be handy in the future....
