PCM converted to DSD 128

Simple straightforward threefold question :

- Is there an advantage in converting pcm 16-bit/44.1 to dsd 128 on the fly in measurements achieved?
- Is there a sonic gain?
- Are latest developed chips/dac better in processing pcm to analogue output than converting pcm to dsd to analogue output?

I use foobar2000 for music listening.
I'm reading conflicting opinions on the web so i thought lets try it here where the experts reside
