Pay to play equipment reviews?

Over the past few years there has been much talk of paid reviews, so when I came across this video on YouTube, I thought it was worth sharing:

Don’t know the reviewer - seems like a small timer - but if what he says is even partially true, the commercial review business is highly monetized.

Thank goodness sites like ASR exist.

Always more schtick than substance, this guy reminds me of the FPS Russia guy who, it turns out, wasn't even Russian. ASR is measure twice, buy once. Or something like that.

Well, what struck me was the degree to which every aspect of the business model is used to generate revenue. As an example, It never would’ve occurred to me, not in a million years, to charge exhibitors a fee to do room reports. I guess I’m not cut out for the YouTube review business.
