Anyone have scratch hiding tips? The kiddo wanted to “help” and grabbed my kutzall rasp.
Depending on how deep the scratches are, you may be able to raise the grain enough and pretty much hide the scratches completely. No filler will make them disappear, unless you are willing to paint in the graining.I was planning to do that, then sand in some of the finish to make a slurry in that area.
Now for about an hour of sanding! Going to look good. What's your finish going to be?

The bearing stopped spinning and acted as a cutter? Usually that the washer between the bearing and the router bit that causes issues like this. Sometimes I remove the washer.View attachment 521040

Number two sanded up. Don't think I'll ever perfectly get rid of the line where the bearing rode. Masking tape next time? Really happy overall.
