What the ... This looks like an insult to all audio reproduction progress ever made. Visually too.

Bruh ...

A bit harsh judgment:) I really like the sound of those Wavecor tweeters that Totem used in many models (I owned Sky).
The woofers look like Wavecor's 90mm fullrangers.

I didn't hear this particular model but there is some magic in the first order filter. And, because the tweeter and woofer have so flat frequency responses, you don't need more than 1 capacitor.

I know these moments where a "unusual" speaker sounds nice and interesting at first, but this never hold up in the long run for enjoyment and usability in my opinion. It's like those tube amp simulators in chips nowdays. While technically actually a perfect simulation of a perfect amp with even harmonics, even this becomes annoying and exhausting after longer listening. It's something to turn on to try for a while or show your friends, but nothing for 24/7 operation. The same applies to these kind of speakers. It's like a tech demo, but not a persuable speaker design. Again, imho.

Have you heard Totem before? I lived with Totem Sky (30mm Wavecor + 5inch Morel drivers, 1st order filter: 1 capacitor + 1 resistor) for 2 years and really enjoyed it.

One year after selling it, I missed the sound so much, that bought I the same tweeter and built a 3 way DIY with the 1st order crossovers. Same sound signature, but with the deeper bass. And that's the speaker that I would prefer for 24/7 listening over many high-end setups including my reference system on the more technically advanced Purifi drivers.

This new Totem speaker with 2x4inch woofers seems indeed a bit controversial and I wonder how bad is directivity in the crossover region. But I would first listen to or measure it.

It took an eternity, but all pics are uploaded by now.
i Totally believe you, amazing pictures, thanks for sharing:)
how you managed without tripping over the masses of people?
I'd like to add, if you are not already into photography (professionally), you should be!, especially for this kind of work making pictures for magazines and the likes.:D
