First time I saw the feet of the Blade i thought it was a failed DIY add-on made by the owner. Cannot help looking at them ever since. Did they hire the designer of the cheapest ikea office furniture lines? How much do these speakers cost? those holes.... aaarrrrgggggg
Just asking here. Some of the tower speaker designs look like they tried to shape their very large boxes orientation to keep the mid/tweeter drivers towards the head of a person in the seated position. Like Focal and Wilson. But what exactly is this design trying to do here? Maybe it’s an optical illusion or a play of lightning, but are these speakers aiming the Mid/tweeter towards the ceiling? Do you need to sit on a ladder to get your head in the beaming zone?

I'm not sure what they tried to accomplish. Here is the sales pitch from the manufacturer, that comes with a .pdf specs sheet (barely any whitepaper)... The good news is they did not suck as much as I expected (considering their other speakers I've listened to so far, my expectation bar was pretty low).
By the way, here are other samples of Stellar's custom finishes :
Well, I confess I like the Grande Utopias. I guess they would only require a full house redesign, redecoration, and relighting.
The bad thing about Focal is their rush towards insane prices driven by fit and finish. (the list price of my Scalas has at least doubled since I purchased them, with only minor technical tweaks).
The good thing about Focal is that their affordable models sound almost as good as the pricy ones. Plus the fact that, in Europe at least, they live in a permanent discount universe.
Yea, don't get me wrong, if any of those systems suddenly appeared next to me in bed with a bag of crackers, I wouldn't kick them out for getting crumbs on the sheets.

If it's like the R-series those are probably where you insert the hex key wrench to adjust the feet up/down for leveling the speaker. Could look better though, I agree.
Anyway, great thread, thanks for the photos! If I had the money, I'd go for the JBL Synthesis S4700 speakers paired with that Luxman gear for a classic-looking setup.
In all my years of audiofoolery, I never thought about hooking up my speakers using Hot Wheels track. Goes to show that even at an old age you can learn something new.
Even in my enlightened awareness that Topping D10 will also sound like those shiny boxes, I can't help but observe with glittering eyes.
The only things I'm sure will sound better than my gear are those huge, fantastic, mammoth towers that I'll never have in my life.
Great work first class. So many brands I have never heard of, I have always been curious about Yamaha speakers myself and wonder if they are beneath the radar giant killers? I thought th B&W stuff looked pretty tired in comparison to other brands.

It's not the feet but the massive "decorative" locking nuts. I've replaced those with smaller knurled nuts and all are invisible. The Blade just floats clear of the carpet by ~1/4 inch.
Indeed nice to see how innovative they are. A new compact active 3-way coaxial bookshelf with integrated streamer, room eq and touch screen. A new integrated class D amp with room eq. Nice to see a company doing something else than pushing out the next amp or DAC with the same 80's feature set.
Yeah, Cabasse and KEF seem to be making smart moves and pushing notable advancements. I'd love to compare a 3 way active from each of them in a reflective room... and maybe Devialet but they need some standard inputs to make a surround system.
