Thinking of buying the newly released 720F for fronts, 520LCR for my centre and 120B’s for rears. Was thinking of the 620 for the centre but it’s just a little too big for my stand. Just curious if anyone has them or has listened to them yet. Not a whole lot for reviews out there yet either. Found a review on Secrets of home theatre where they gave a positive review of them. Thanks

Reviews are useless, what you should be looking for are spinorama or anechoic chamber measurments.
Maybe Paradigm have them, after all they should have used them to make the speakers in the first place.

Unfortunately without measurements it's impossible to say. Based on measurements of other Paradigm speakers (you can browse through them on spinorama.org), which range from decent to pretty bad depending on the specific speaker, I definitely wouldn't buy any Paradigm speaker without some quality measurements first.

Unfortunately those measurements are not what I'd call high quality and it's difficult to draw useful conclusions from them.

I'm super curious to see some measurements of the 520LCR. On paper a trio of them (with subwoofer obviously) is very interesting to me: a proper sealed cabinet satellite (presumably with a smooth 2nd roll-off), a very amp-friendly 90dB efficiency, and an affordable price point. But I'm troubled by how the Founder 70LCR, at over twice the price, exhibited such odd results. Paradigm's signature slightly cooked top end doesn't bother me but things like the suck out at 4kHz was just bizarre for a speaker over C$2k. Hoping they've refined their approach for this one but only time (and some measurements) will tell.

If anyone sees something, please add them here. I was eyeing the Premier 220B v2.

I bought the 720B’s, 520LCR and the 120B’s the other day. They seem to sound pretty good so far. I had the B and W 705 s3 signatures before and the Paradigm’s are definitely more neutral sounding. Haven’t had much time to try them yet though.

Well apparently the 520LCR Black Walnut is already sold out across Canada (which I would want for my centre). Plenty of the Walnut though (which I would want for my L/R).

Not sure if anyone cares, but I just realized they quietly swtiched to overseas manufacturing for the V2s (IIRC the original Premiers were still amung those Made-in-Canada).

@sask15 , is the logo on the grill of the 520LCR reposition-able (when used in the upright position)? Its not consequential of course (I tend to not use grills) but I'm just curious if they thought about that little detail (on a $1K speaker they are promoting as serving dual duty).

Yes I believe the logo does turn and can be repositioned if vertical.

Too bad they moved their manufacturing. Didn’t know that till now. Be nice to see some reviews here.

I saw that, pretty favourable review. I am liking my speakers so far. They sound great to me anyway.

For me any review without measurements are worthless. Especially after what they did with the Founder LCR that got praise everywhere but in reality is a very flawed product.

So ideally we need a review by Soundstage/ Stereophile or here with measurements to get any results that are reputable? Hopefully more reviews come in here soon.

Or you can take one for the team and send yours to Erin or ASR :D

I’m up in Canada and would likely cost me $1000 to send the speakers in for review. Otherwise maybe.
