The Ascilab C6B are far better at any volumes than a coaxial driver... They didn't project the sound... The A6B and the C6B are game changer...The ascilab hype and drama needed to go somewhere.
He has entire portions of his house stacked up with cartons full of speaker boxes, has a 6-12 months backlog, but he goes out asking for new speakers to test because they're currently surrounded by clout / hype.
If that's not bias, I don't know what is.
Hype hype hype! Can we drop the Erin talk and get back to hyping this product so few of us own?
We get it, you paid 2x the price for a pre order speaker thats gonna show up who knows when. "They didn’t project the sound…" what does it even mean!?The Ascilab C6B are far better at any volumes than a coaxial driver... They didn't project the sound... The A6B and the C6B are game changer...
Comparing KEF and MoFi to studio nearfields uhHype hype hype!
Rooting for this product, particularly as so many coaxials are NOT good (at least in terms of raw drivers and car audio; KEF and MoFi seem to have done OK.
Better at any volume that a coaxial, lol.The Ascilab C6B are far better at any volumes than a coaxial driver... They didn't project the sound... The A6B and the C6B are game changer...
Id say also his personal curiosity as everyone else, to see if the hipe is all true, right? But it is a double edged blade, as if the product is not well received, it can give market advantage to other brands. It makes complete sense to forward some products in the queue if there is already a lot of talk about it.
He's being optimitisc in thinking the future versions will have a lower hiss, let's hope he's right about it. That's apparently their only flow, appart of course from the low frequency distorsion which is physically hard to avoid with such small speakers.

I’m perplexed about the hiss situation, some owners totally ignored to mention it or think it’s quite low and manageable. Are people deaf? It’s of course highly dependant on your overall room ambient noise, but still…He's being optimitisc in thinking the future versions will have a lower hiss, let's hope he's right about it. It means that the wawe guide from the tweeter wich is the medium is changing of depth all the time. It isn't constant per construction. The louder you drive it the more incostant it will become.

If they do address it with the next batch, i guess it would be a "quiet" upgrade (no pun intended), with regard from first batch owners and brand reputation. No idea what it would imply technically, if anyone knows you're welcome to elaborate on this. The unit arrived yesterday and I tested it. The hiss noise from the Orbit 11 is stronger than I expected. It’s a bit disappointing for near-field use. Would it help if Palmer reduced the overall amplifier output through a software update? I can still hear the hiss even from about 2.5 meters away.
If it is something Palmer can do, I believe they should at least try to address it.
the fact that most comparisons here are to speakers costing many multiples of the orbit's price is extremely revealing
There are several small complaints, this is just one (and the one you care about the most.)That’s why it’s such a shame—if the hiss noise were resolved, it would be close to perfect.
