Yes, but reducing digital volume before dsp is not perfect place to do that? Just wondering if manufacturer has any recommendation how to make sure that enought bits are available in low level listening?
Complete non-issue with 24 or 32 bit depth.

Who makes the drivers?
Curious minds want to know anywayIt doesn't matter. You can't upgrade them anyway without breaking the entire existing cabinet design.
They aren't computer CPUs that works as a drop-in upgrade.
You know, at the end of the day I only care about how they sound compared to my existing speakers. Messurements are nice, but in the end it's subjective and I wouldn't buy a speaker just because it messures great but still I don't enjoy listening to it. I don't produce music but listen to it for joy only.I am a bit surprised by how many people here can’t wait for third-party measurements before they order the speakers, especially as we already know the measurements are on their way. But I do hope some of you early adopters make some gated measurements and distortion measurements for the rest of us to see before Amir gets his hands on the speaker.![]()

I expect every manufacturer to publish their own measurements and those measurements to be corroborated by a third party.I expect you to post some measurements in this thread when you have received your Orbit 11, just as I have done multiple times for my speakers in the ATC thread.
if you can easily return it, yes. otherwise many of us rely on measurements to scope down the potential speakers to buy.You know, at the end of the day I only care about how they sound compared to my existing speakers. It was explained up-thread that they designed the drivers themselvesCurious minds want to know anywayeven if it’s the end results that counts.
IME even if they are known OEM manufacturered drivers they can be bespoke versions adapted to the needs of the design ?
One can not help to notice that some brand name drivers makes people more interested ?
Or they could make thier own drivers ? Who knows, curiosity and all that
Personally I find the whole integrated product very interesting I think it’s more than its parts, even if I’m of-course curious of the nitty gritty details like any other audio nutcase . I do not expect an answer to everything as they will keep some IP to themselves naturally.

The only limit in SPL I see from the measurements is in the low-bass, which is not cardioid so no I don't think soIf They weren't cardiod they would have had more SPL?
In room measurements are pretty useless to evaluate a speaker, unless that room is an anechoic chamber. At best it'll show if the speaker has unusual high frequency extension. Everything else, bass extension, bass drop off, high frequency drop off, sbir, can be explained by room/positioning.
Non fridge sized speakers usually have the bass as the limitsThe only limit in SPL I see from the measurements is in the low-bass, which is not cardioid so no I don't think so
I ordered them to compare with my current speakers. I can just return them within 30 days. So... why not?I am a bit surprised by how many people here can’t wait for third-party measurements before they order the speakers, especially as we already know the measurements are on their way.
