Its foremost a studio product features and look reflects that looks like an excellent speaker for its application.
( a home version could be without orange rings )

For a small home setup, you need to have some extra equipment to serve an analog or aes signal from streaming or other sources .
( suggestions ) . This is not entirely bad , imho I miss an optical or spdiff input and a sub output. But it migth not fit the small panel .

Seems like performance in this size category was a serious design goal . Probably good choices all over even if people lika me wants more features, palmer probably knows what their customers need .

As I understand it ( please correct me if I wrong) AES inputs is able to synchronize a digital clock which is impossible with SPDIF

Should be here next week!
I will report whether the orange ring is as distracting as some fear!
I may even mention the sound quality.

Both contain a timing element and need to be re-clocked by the dac, so some form of PLL phase locked loop, Asynchronous USB is favourite no inherent timing and the dac is solely in charge.

Thomann's best selling monitor controllers are Palmer's in No 7 and 8 positions. They do distribute the brand already.

MusicStore don't have them as well. No idea why a German manufacturer is absent of two of biggest German/European dealers, located just a couple of hour away.

They didn't give me a reason, just that they can't have them all.

They're not actually in stock anywhere yet. I'd be very surprised if they didn't end up on Thomann, despite what employers are saying now.

"LD Systems" is also a brand by "Adam Hall" and is sold by Thomann.

BTW: "LD Systems" ICOA Coax active Loudspeakers are used in my circle of friends for Homecinema (!) with success.

Woke up and found these on Gearspace first, and that there was chatter about it here. Having a hmoestudio and been using KRK VXT8, for god knows how long, 15 years at least. These got my attention, looking at the specs and all. The orange ring, my KRK got yellow bass, so it doesnt bother me really. Would look way more cohesive with just black or white ring. But im going for the white ones if these holds up to the test. Been on and off about switching my speakers, who might not be the best out there. But the most important thing is there, i know them! And how it translates to the rest of the world.

so aside from the orange ring which seems to get a couple of people's knickers in a twist, it seems the real issue would be to actually find a way to order them.

I wish my Genelec 8331s had an orange ring. Maybe I'll switch to Palmer just because of the ring. Looks so damn sexy.
