SOLD
I'm selling a pair of JBL-708P that were purchased from another forum member. The wife said no and they've been sitting a couple months. As seen by the description below, I'm attempting to explain the condition of these with the utmost precision to ensure there are no surprises. I only listened to them to ensure no issues with electronics or drivers. They work.
Otherwise they are as I received them, which on the exterior is not great. These are not "show pieces" and were obviously in a remodeling environment due to some dust and light scratches/swirls on each flat surface. A good description is to imagine having eraser marks (from a pencil) that you can't wipe off. Yes these marks are visible at a distance in the right lighting. No they're not deep or severe by any stretch.
The right speaker obviously had it's grill removed or messed with at some point. I don't know why. The top portion doesn't seat perfectly but it is solidly in there, just raised a mm or two. The bottom corners of the grill-to-wood interface show minor indications of damage from perhaps prying the grill off...?
I was told both speakers were returned to JBL on RMA's due to having the wrong tuning files. One of the speakers came back in a 308 box so you'll see that anomaly. The other box is a 708. I do not know the age of the speakers.
I've bought and sold tons of gear on AVS and am located in the Chicago area, 60510.
Price with shipping is $2,300. You pay the additional paypal fee or can save $100 by meeting me within an hour of my zip code.
I also have a pair of pristine JBL-705P's for sale with mounting brackets. You can search for the ad on here.
